Klay Kathaa is on the move! From a tiny, cozy corner to a bigger, brighter, better space—one that’s ready to hold all the dreams I’ve shaped with my two hands. It’s messy, it’s magical, and it feels just right.

This journey has been about carving out a space (literally and figuratively) where clay, stories, and a little bit of me come together. Every pinch, every throw, every glaze—this move is for all of that and more.

The new studio is still a work in progress, but isn’t that what life is? A beautiful, imperfect mess where we get to make our own way.

My heart is full after seeing the love for my “Rising Sun” coffee mugs from the Unalome collection at the Singapore Clay Festival!

The earthy, wood-like brown glaze and the kaki semi-circle with those crisp white lines symbolize the peaceful energy of the sun rising in the east—a new beginning each day. It feels like sharing a bit of calm in every piece. So grateful to everyone who connected with them! Time to bring more of this warmth to life.

So many of you asked me how I got those glaze lines. I actually started experimenting with the small cups without handles that you see in the last video and then moved to the big ones with handles. Handle ones are all sold out at the moment.

Hand carved repetitive patterns on a vase that would bring the art of #ikebana to life.

Fired with wood and soda, it bears the natural beauty of ash melting and turning to glaze and a bit of soda flashing creating organic, unpredictable patterns that make each piece truly one of a kind.

A blend of age old tradition, nature, and craftsmanship in every curve and mark.

This sake set features a soft semi-matte bone glaze with hand-painted brushstrokes that bring to life the calm and beauty of a bamboo forest. 🌿🎋 Minimalist, yet with a touch of nature—it’s one of my favorite pieces so far!

The brush strokes use a brown glaze that goes really well with the base glaze on the piece. Both are my own glazes 😍

🐘🌿 Say hello to my little leaf color glaze elephant! 🍃

This cute guy is rocking a glaze inspired by the colors of leaves, bringing all the earthy, cozy vibes. 🌱✨
This is an in-house glaze created by me after a dozen or so color and recipe tests.
I try to somehow make nature finds its way into every creation - watch how the colors pop in this reel! Look at that sheen— satiny matte which is enabled in the surface through a different firing cycle in my electric kiln.
