Klay Kathaa Ceramics By Bhusari P
I am a self-taught ceramic artist, passionately experimenting with various techniques to create sculptures, relief work, and glazed functional ware. The human form intrigues me, and I find immense joy in sculpting the diverse emotions of childhood and the facets of urban landscapes. My work delves into the relationship between nature and humans, exploring how they continuously connect and influence each other through ceramics.
My ceramic work is inspired by the relationship between constant change and the repetitive patterns found in nature. Some pieces are vessels, while others are purely contemplative. I primarily work with high and medium temperature clay, with extensive experience in wheel-thrown and altered forms. My sculptures reflect my fascination with the interplay between nature and humanity, capturing the essence of this connection.
My functional ceramic pieces are rooted in simplicity and refined imperfection, designed to evoke a sense of happiness and comfort. I hope that those who engage with my work find that the everyday use of these pots transforms their routines into something special. What began as a stepping stone towards self-discovery has grown into a profound passion. Form and color in ceramics provide me with a rich vocabulary for self-expression, allowing me to explore and convey my artistic vision.
The clay bodies and glazes that I use are all lead free and tested food safe,
microwave & oven friendly.
All the products at KlayKathaa are multi-fired at 1220+°C in the studio.
